Expanding research possibilities for undergraduate students who are enthusiastic about pursuing careers in the sciences is the goal of Tsinghua University’s Amgen Scholars Program 2026. Under the guidance of seasoned faculty members, it is an 8-week residential summer research internship in China. The program gives chosen scholars the opportunity to study about drug discovery and biotechnology, gain experience in cutting-edge research, and work in a genuine laboratory setting. In a lab run by faculty, students will work on one or more specific research projects. Every scholar in this summer research program will have a faculty mentor.Additionally, graduate students, postdoctoral researchers, or lab technicians will teach and assist academics in the lab. They will be able to take part in academic events like weekly lab meetings, group discussions, presentation training sessions, and lectures for the entire campus as active members of the laboratory.
Every Amgen Scholar in Asia will also take part in a regional conference, where they will get firsthand knowledge from top academics and business scientists.Students will have the chance to connect with other Amgen Scholars throughout the globe. The program offers extracurricular activities including networking meetings and cultural tour of Beijing in addition to research work. The program for 2026 will start on June 4, 2026, and run until August 6, 2026 (provisional). The deadline to apply for the 2026 intake is March 15, 2026.

Eligibility Criteria:-
- You have to be an Asian undergraduate student.
- Before the program begins, you need have finished at least one full year of your bachelor’s degree.
- After the summer program, you must still have at least one semester or quarter remaining (students who graduate before the program starts are not eligible).
- Your academic record ought to be strong.
- You must be able to converse in English.
- You must provide your English exam results (IELTS, TOEFL, Cambridge, or TOEIC) if English is not your first language.
- Applications are strongly encouraged from students who are interested in research and may intend to pursue higher education, such as a PhD.
Program Requirements:-
- The chosen scholars are required to remain for the duration of the program.
- During the program, you are not permitted to enroll in any additional courses or work part-time.
- Scholars are required to reside in housing provided by Tsinghua University.
- It is required to attend lab meetings, orientation sessions, academic events, and social gatherings.
- It is expected of scholars to arrive on time for all planned events.
- A poster presentation regarding your research study must be prepared.
- Each scholar is required to turn in a research paper to the program director at the conclusion of the summer
