The Japanese government’s MEXT University Recommended Scholarship is a fully free scholarship for international students studying in Japan in 2026. The following funding will be provided by the award to pay for the costs of the study:
Tuition Fee: There will be no enrollment or full tuition fees. There is no application fee for MEXT Scholars.
Travel Expense: Round-trip airfare Tickets will be distributed from Japan to the home nation and from the home country to Japan.

Eligibility Criteria:-
To be eligible for an international graduate scholarship in Japan, applicants must fulfill the requirements listed below:
Candidates from outside of Japan who have successfully completed 16 years of schooling (a master’s degree) or whose degree will be finished before the enrollment date.
International students with diplomatic ties to Japan might come from any country in the world.
The candidate must have been born on or after April 2, 1989.
Students are required to apply for either a related subject or the academic field they studied at their prior university.
Applying for a master’s degree requires a bachelor’s degree.
A master’s degree is required in order to apply for a doctorate.
Students who do not speak English as their first language are excluded from the language test and can present an English proficiency certificate from their former university.
