For students who wish to study in Europe through a fully financed Erasmus Mundus opportunity, the prestigious international master’s program in Education, Migration, and Diversity is accessible through the Erasmus Mundus EDU MIG Scholarships. In a genuinely global academic setting, the EDU MIG program is an interdisciplinary, bilingual master’s degree that combines education studies, migration research, and diversity-focused learning.

The majority of participants get Erasmus Mundus scholarships, and the program offers 25 study spots for overseas students annually. A robust academic and professional network spanning Germany, Sweden, Italy, Turkey, Benin, and Tunisia helps students become globally trained professionals. The curriculum gives students the tools they need to create, execute, and evaluate migration-sensitive and diversity-oriented strategies in public institutions, schools, adult education, non-governmental organizations, and international organizations.

Eligibility Criteria:-

  • A bachelor’s degree or its equivalent in an EDU MIG-related discipline, such as social sciences, history, cultural studies, educational sciences, applied languages, or teacher education, is required.
  • Verified by official transcripts and certificates, the minimum final grade is C+ (or equivalent).
  • During the selecting process, multilingualism is a benefit.
  • Candidates having relevant professional experience (jobs, internships, or volunteer work) are given preference.
  • degree earned within the last five years; if you’re older, include an explanation in the motivation letter for your desire to go back to school.
  • Those who already have a master’s degree must explain why they want to get another.
  • it is not possible for beneficiaries of the Erasmus Mundus Joint Master scholarship to apply for another one.
  • Teachers at both official and informal educational establishments
  • Mediators in state institutions or non-governmental organizations who help migrant communities communicate with official organizations
  • Advisors filling in the gaps for all types of educational engagement between employees with little international experience and former residents, migrant workers, or refugees

Required Documents:-

  • Resume
  • Letter of motivation (no more than two pages)
  • A verified transcript of records attesting to the completion of the bachelor’s degree by the time of enrollment in the master’s program, or a recognized three- or four-year bachelor’s or master’s degree from a higher education institution. Documents written in languages other than English, French, German, Italian, or Swedish must have a verified translation into English.
  • High school transcripts and a high school diploma (secondary school leaving certificate, such as an A-Level or Baccalaureate) or its equivalent. Documents written in languages other than English, French, German, Italian, or Swedish must have a verified translation into English.
  • Evidence of nationality (passport copy or comparable document; identity will be confirmed during the interview). For documents written in languages other than English, French, German, Italian, or Swedish, kindly offer a certified translation into English.
  • According to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR), language proficiency is at least C1. Passing an internationally recognized test that was taken no more than two years before to submitting an application for a degree program, or presenting comparable proof, can serve as proof of language ability. The qualifications are met by the following language diplomas:
  • UNIcert: at least Level III
  • At least 180 points on the Cambridge English Scale
  • At least a Band 7.0 on the IELTS Academic (“International English Language Testing System”)
  • At least 95 points in the TOEFL iBT, or “Test of English as a Foreign Language”
  • At least 76 points on the Pearson Academic Global Scale of English
  • The following credentials can also be used to demonstrate language proficiency:
  • An English bachelor’s, master’s, doctorate, or licentiate degree from a state-approved university
  • An English-speaking educational system’s requirements for admission to universities Employment, internship, or volunteer certificates in English, German, French, Italian, or Swedish that are pertinent to the fields of education, migration, and diversity.
  • Two academic and/or professional recommendation letters

Eligible Universities:-

  • M.A. in Education, Migration, and Diversity, University of Education
  • Gavle University (M.A. Educational Development)
  • M.A. in Pedagogical Science at Universita della Calabria, with an emphasis on intercultural pedagogy.

How to Apply?

  • Make sure you fulfill all eligibility requirements, such as having a relevant bachelor’s degree and fulfilling the language and grade requirements.
  • Compile the necessary paperwork, including a resume, a letter of motivation, transcripts and certified degree certificates, proof of nationality, the results of language tests, and two reference letters.
  • When the official application portal opens for the intake year, visit it.
    Before submitting the online application, thoroughly fill out all the fields and upload the necessary files.
  • To be eligible for financing, submit your application before the scholarship deadline of February 15, 2026.
  • The admissions committee may invite chosen applicants to participate in a live online interview.
  • Await the announcement of acceptance and the final decision. Recipients of scholarships are typically notified soon after interviews.
