CERN (the European Organization for Nuclear Research) offers full-time or part-time Post Career Break Fellowships in Switzerland to scientific and engineering graduates who wish to pursue careers in science again. With this fully sponsored fellowship, you can work for up to three years in a worldwide setting and stay up to date on the most recent advancements in research. CERN’s scientific advancements have broadened the technological boundaries, which benefit society everywhere.

Analytics & Data Science, Applied Physics, Electrical or Electronics Engineering, Experimental Physics, Health, Safety and Environment, International Relations, Material and Surface Science, Mathematics, Mechanical Engineering, Software Engineering and IT, Support Services (Finance, HR, Legal, Procurement), and Theoretical Physics are among the programs and projects covered by this international research fellowship.

Benefits:-
- A two-year employment contract with the possibility of a three-year extension will be in place.
- CERN will offer official on-the-job training as well as internal French and/or English language courses.
- Your monthly stipend, net of taxes, will range from 6287 to 6911 Swiss francs.Your spouse, kids, and
- yourself will all be covered under CERN’s health plan.
- You will become a CERN Pension Fund member.
- Depending on your situation, you can get installation or family allowance.
- At the start and finish of your fellowship contract, you can be eligible for flight reimbursement.
- Additionally, you are eligible for 30 days of paid leave annually.

Eligibility Criteria:-
- Candidates should be taking a minimum of two years off from their careers for personal reasons, such as
- family obligations, health issues, or any other personal issue.
- A spell of unemployment or changing your subject of study will not be considered a career break.
- Candidates should hold an MSC degree and have a graduate profile with experience.
- Candidates should have between two and six years of professional experience.
- Candidates may have completed a PhD program and worked in their field for three years.
- Applicants in experimental or theoretical physics should have a PhD degree, a Research Fellowship profile, and about six years of experience in their field following graduation.
- CERN employees are not eligible to apply for this fellowship.
