Eligibility Criteria:-
For a year, the Fellows are permitted to work.
The jobs are located in the United States and the United Kingdom.
Fellows who have worked in journalism for more than five years are not eligible to apply.
Candidates must be qualified to work in either the US or the UK.
New work visas are not sponsored by the New York Times. They might, however, take into account those who already have valid work visas or student visas that can be extended through optional practical training.
Fellowship Will Start:-
The early career journalism program will start on June 1, 2026, and run through May 21, 2027.
Type of Job:-
Reporting, photography, graphics, design, video, audio, audience interaction, and opinion writing are among the tasks the fellows will perform.

The New York Times Fellowship 2026 application period is currently open.
To obtain practical experience, all fellows work full-time in the Opinion or newsroom.
Beginning in 2026, the fellowship is intended for journalists in their early careers.
According to departmental guidelines, consistent attendance in the office is anticipated for these hybrid roles.
