Let’s walk you through everything you need to know.

What Is the EU Traineeship Programme?

The EU Traineeships (also known as Blue Book,Schuman, or Council traineeships) offer twice-a-year intakes: in March and October. Each internship lasts five months and takes place in places like Brussels, Luxembourg, or Strasbourg.

There are three main types of traineeships:

This means the programme is open to both EU and non-EU graduates, making it a truly global opportunity.
Is It Paid?

Yesand generously!

Here’s what you can expect:
European Commission (Blue Book): Around €1,400/month, plus travel allowance and health insurance.
European Parliament (Schuman): Similar benefits, with about €1,300–1,400/month.

Are you someone who dreams of making a difference in your community — or even the world — but just needs the right platform, the right training, and the right people to believe in you?

The Emerging Leaders Program 2025 in the United States might be exactly what you’re looking for. This fully funded leadership program invites passionate, young, and driven individuals from around the globe to step into their power and become leaders of tomorrow — not in theory, but in action.

Whether you’re already leading a project, volunteering in your community, or simply have a strong urge to solve global challenges, this is your chance to learn, grow, and build lifelong connections — all in the heart of the USA.

What Is the Emerging Leaders Program All About?

Think of it as a transformational leadership journey — one where you meet brilliant minds from different countries, explore real-world issues, and gain practical tools to make your ideas come alive.

The program typically brings together 30 to 50 exceptional young leaders between the ages of 18 and 30 from all over the world. For 6 to 8 weeks, you’ll live, learn, and grow together through hands-on experiences, workshops, cultural immersion, and personal development sessions.

By the time you return home, you won’t just have a certificate — you’ll have a vision, a plan, and a global network of support.

What You’ll Actually Do

The program is not just sitting in lecture halls. You’ll:

Join a leadership bootcamp hosted by a top U.S. university
Visit NGOs, government offices, and startups
Work on a capstone project that tackles a real issue
Explore American culture — from Washington D.C. to maybe even New York City!
Bond with a global cohort of change-makers like you
Be mentored by professionals and social impact leaders

What’s Covered (Everything!)

Yes everything is fully funded. If you’re selected, you won’t have to worry about:

Flights (round-trip to and from the U.S.)
Accommodation and meals
Visa support and application help
Health insurance during the program
Local transportation and cultural trips
A certificate to showcase your achievement

And the best part? There’s no application fee.

Who Should Apply?

You’ve led or been part of something meaningful — even if it’s small
You care about people, justice, equity, or change
You can express yourself clearly in English
You’re ready to learn, grow, and step outside your comfort zone

Whether you’re from a rural village or a busy city, if you have a heart for impact — you’re welcome.

What You’ll Need to Apply

The application is pretty straightforward, but you do need to prepare a few things:

Your CV or resume (2 pages max)
A personal statement (why you want to join)
A short essay or project proposal
One letter of recommendation (from a mentor, teacher, or employer)
Optional: Proof of English skills (IELTS/TOEFL if you have it)
