Candidates wanting to commence postdoctoral studies in basic biomedical research who now hold, or are nearing, a Ph.D., M.D., or an equivalent degree.
Candidates who have earned a PhD (or D.Phil. or equivalent) degree no more than two years prior to the application deadline, or an M.D. degree no more than three years prior to the deadline, and who have no more than one year of postdoctoral research experience at the time of the application deadline.
Fellowships could be given out.

Foreign nationals may only receive fellowships for study conducted in US labs. and the majority of applicants are anticipated to be in North America at the time of application.
Applicants who intend to complete the fellowship in a lab where they have previously completed substantial predoctoral or postdoctoral training will often not be given consideration by the Foundation. The fellowship’s goal is to increase postdoctoral training and experience, hence a major venue shift is advised.
As mandated by US Immigration, international students must get the necessary visa papers.
“Postdoctoral laboratory training” does not include clinical house-staff training.
We will not consider applications from advanced fellows or recognized scientists. Only early postdoctoral training is eligible for the fellowships.

Every year in November, the third-year Fellows share the findings of their study at a two-day Annual Meeting of Fellows. Because it gives the Fellows the chance to engage in scientific exchange and be exposed to biological fields other than their own, this gathering is a crucial part of the Fellowship Program. It is required that you attend the entire meeting in order to be considered for the fellowship.
